VISA INFORMATION:

Requirements for Visa

Tourist Visa

> Granted for 6 months with multiple Entry.
> No Registration Requirements on arrival in India.

Business Visa

> Granted for 6 months/one Year and 5 Years (only in exceptional cases) with multiple Entry.
Required to submit:
- letter of Invitation from the Indian Partner.
- letter from the Parent Company giving details of the scheduled Business visit.

If stay in India is to be more than 6 months in one go, required to register with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office [See General Guidelines] well before the expiry of 180 days (six months).

Student Visa

> Up to 5 years or duration of the course, whichever is less with multiple entry.
> Required to produce admission letter from the University/Institute in India. The University/Institute has to be recognized by the Ministry of Human Resources Development.
> Registration required to be done within 14 days of Arrival in India with the concerned FRRO.

Employment Visa

> Granted for the duration of Employment or 5 Years whichever is less with multiple entry.
> Registration required to be done within 14 days of Arrival in India with the concerned FRRO.


Journalist Visa

> Duration of stay or 6 months (if going as tourist) with single/multiple Entry.
> Journalists going as a tourist are also given this Visa.

Visa Fees

In addition to the Visa fee, applicants who do not hold resident permits of Portugal have to pay fax charges depending upon the region [as given below] where they come from.
